SALTED CARAMEL BUTTERCREAM FROSTING









Sweet, salty and delicious. The butter and salted butter icing with the best toffee is always fun for the crowd and is easier to prepare than you think!

Ingredients
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp of milk
  • 1 tsp of course salt
  • 3 cups of powdered sugar
  • 2 sticks of butter (room temperature)
  • ⅔ cup of salted caramel (click to see recipe)

Instructions

First, Using an electric mixer (or stand mixer), beat the butter over medium heat for 1 minute.

Then, Add salted caramel sauce and vanilla extract and continue mixing for 2-3 minutes. You will have to stop periodically and scratch the walls of the bowl.

Add the caster sugar and salt, and beat gently until the sugar is completely incorporated.

Increase the speed to medium until you reach the desired consistency.

This should cover about 2 cupcakes if you play them like me, or about 24 cupcakes with a thin layer. Happy Cooking Time
