10-Minute Teriyaki Chicken &
Broccoli
The most
delicious teriyaki chicken in an amazing ginger sauce. This sauce is better
than any store-bought teriyaki and is so easy to prepare at home while giving
you the feeling of being a takeaway.
INGREDIENTS
- 3 cups broccoli, steamed
- 1 Tablespoon oil
- 3 organic chicken breasts, cut into 1 1/2-inch pieces
Teriyaki
Sauce
- 2 teaspoon corn starch
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 3 Tablespoon coconut sugar
- 1 teaspoon ginger (grated fresh or dried)
- 1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce (or liquid aminos)
- 1 Tablespoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon sesame seeds *optional
INSTRUCTIONS
First, Beat
all the ingredients of the teriyaki sauce in a small bowl.
Then, In a
cast iron skillet, brown the chicken in the oil over medium heat until well
cooked and slightly crisp. If the pan is not hot enough, the chicken will
steam so make sure the pan is hot but does not burn.
Add the
cooked chicken teriyaki sauce and stir for 1 to 2 minutes for the sauce to
thicken.
Stir in
broccoli with chicken and sauce. Serve on rice with sprinkled sesame seeds.
