 Grilled Halloumi Cheese Bake



This grilled Halloumi cheese grill may be a quick and healthy vegetarian dinner. Yummy, crunchy and salty cheese slices on a delicious vegetable spaghetti sauce , perfect for dipping!


INGREDIENTS

1 teaspoon extra vegetable oil Plus for brushing

1 large onion, peeled and chopped

3 cloves of garlic, peeled and mashed

2 medium zucchini (zucchini) chopped

1 large eggplant (eggplant), chopped

1 teaspoon ground cumin

1 tsp smoked paprika

400 g can of crushed tomatoes

1 tablespoon tomato puree

1 teaspoon honey

Salt and pepper

250 gr Halloumi cheese


INSTRUCTIONS

1.Heat the oil during a large skillet with a lid, add the onion and garlic and let it soften for five minutes.

2.Add the zucchini, eggplant, cumin and smoked paprika and cook for an additional 5 minutes until soft.

3.Add the canned tomatoes, tomato puree, honey and salt and pepper. Fill half an empty tomato can with water and sprinkle also . Place the lid on the pot and let it cook for about 10 minutes. (See note below.)

4.Heat the grill until extremely popular .

5.Once the sauce has thickened and softened, cut the halloumi cheese into thin slices, place on top of the vegetable sauce and brush (or spray) with oil.

6.Bake for about 5 minutes until the cheese is crispy and golden.
