French Onion Risotto


 French Onion Risotto



This French onion risotto is soft, comfortable and filled with French onion flavor! Perfect for dating or any time you would like to impress you. And it's ready in only 30 minutes!


INGREDIENTS

2 tablespoons of vegetable oil

1 pkg., About 1 lb. of sentimental Italian turkey sausage, shell removed

1 small onion, finely chopped

8 oz. mushroom slices

1 cup Arborio rice

½ tsp. Dry wine

4 tbsp. French Onion Soup I used 32 oz. carton French onion soup from the Pacific * For a less intense French onion taste, replace 1 cup of soup with water.

½ cup of grated parmesan and more for serving


INSTRUCTIONS

1.In a large saucepan or skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat.

2.Add sausage and onions; cook for five minutes, break the sausages.

3.Add the mushrooms and continue cooking until the sausages are not any longer pink.

4.Add rice and keep stirring until toast, about 1 minute.

5.Add wine and cook, stirring, until the liquid is absorbed.

6.Reduce the warmth to medium. Add 1 cup of soup and keep stirring until the liquid is totally absorbed. still stir and add ½ cup of soup at a time, expecting it to completely set before adding more.

7.Remove from heat when the rice is cooked and therefore the risotto is soft.

8.Stir within the parmesan.
