 BEEF AND SWEET POTATO MEATLOAF



Minced beef and sweet potato topped with Tomato Maple Frosting - you could not invite better than this.


INGREDIENT

500g / 17.5oz extra lean hamburger

250 g (9oz) sweet potato, spiral or grated

1 clove , puree

1/4 teaspoon onion powder

2 teaspoons paprika

2 teaspoons of Italian herb

1 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 egg, beat off

FOR SAUCE

1 cup / 240 ml passata

1/2 cup / 120 ml chicken or vegetable stock

1 tablespoon ingredient

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

2 tablespoons syrup - 4 syn

chopped fresh parsley

salt and black pepper

aerosol vegetable oil


INSTRUCTIONS

1.Preheat oven to 180 ° C or 350 ° F (gas 4)

2.In a large bowl, add hamburger , sweet potato, powdered onion, garlic, Italian seasoning, beaten egg, paprika, salt and black pepper, mix well.

3.Line a baking sheet with paper

4.Add the meat mixture to the bread pan and push well.

5.Place within the oven and cook for 45 minutes.

6.When the meatloaf is cooked, you'll prepare a glaze.

7.Add the passata, stock, ingredient , Italian seasonings, garlic powder, shallot powder and syrup to a saucepan, bring back a boil and reduce heat and simmer until it reduces and thickens. Set aside

8.When the minced meat has cooked for 45 minutes.

9.Raise the oven temperature to 200 ° C / 400 ° F (gas mark 6).

10.Pour the sauce over it and bake for quarter-hour , the sauce will turn a pleasant red color and grease the highest of the meatloaf.

11.Remove from oven, sprinkle with chopped parsley and let represent about 10 minutes before slicing.

12.Serve together with your choice of side
