CLASSIC MEATLOAF RECIPE








The best easy meatloaf recipe that you can make with ground beef and a tasty meatloaf sauce is Classic Meatloaf.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 1/2 white onion, diced
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of oregano
  • 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon of basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon of pepper
  • 2 pounds of lean ground beef
  • 1 cup of dried breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

For the icing:

  • 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup of ketchup

INSTRUCTIONS

First, preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a 9x13 mold.

Then, in a large mixing bowl, knead together ground beef, onion, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, 
Worcestershire sauce, salt, basil, oregano, pepper and red pepper flakes.

Shape the meat into a loaf and place it in the prepared pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.

Combine the frosting in a small bowl, whisking together the ketchup, brown sugar and worcestershire sauce. Brush the hot meatloaf.

Increase the oven temperature to 400 degrees and bake an additional 15 minutes, or until the meatloaf reaches an internal temperature of 160 degrees F. Happy Cooking Time.
