PARMESAN TOMATO BASIL CREAMY CHICKEN









Boneless, skinless chicken thighs covered in an easy to prepare creamy tomato, basil and spinach sauce. The entire recipe takes 30 minutes from start to finish!

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tablespoon of butter
  • 1 can of tomato sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon of pepper
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons of dried basil
  • 6 chicken thighs or breasts
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1/2 white onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream


Instructions

First, season the chicken breasts on both sides with the salt, pepper, garlic powder and Italian seasoning.

Then, heat a tablespoon of olive oil and a tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the chicken skin side down and cook, 5 to 6 minutes, without turning it over. Flip the chicken and cook for another 5 minutes.

Remove the chicken to a plate and cover with foil to keep it warm.

Add the onion and garlic to the pan and cook, stirring, for 1 to 2 minutes until fragrant.

Stir in the tomato sauce, heavy cream, Parmesan and basil. Bring to a boil, return the chicken to the pan. Cover and cook over medium-low heat for an additional 5 to 7 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through. Happy Cooking Time.
