SLOW COOKER STEAK SOUP
This slow cooker steak soup is made with tender pieces of beef, lots of vegetables and potatoes, all simmered in a tomato broth. A hearty meal in a pan, perfect for a cold night!
Ingredients:
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 Tbsp canola oil
- 4 cups beef broth
- ¼ cup flour
- 1 Tbsp tomato paste
- ½ tsp ground pepper
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2¼ lb sirloin tip roast, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 (1-oz) envelope dry onion soup mix
- 2 cups uncooked medium egg noodles
Instructions:
First, combine roast, flour, salt and pepper in a large ziplock bag. Seal and shake to coat the beef.
Then, heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the beef from the ziplock bag, discard any excess flour mixture. Sauté beef until browned, about 5 minutes.
Place the meat in the slow cooker. Add the onion soup mixture, beef broth, tomato paste and
Worcestershire sauce. Cook on LOW heat for 8 hours, until beef is tender.
Add the noodles to the slow cooker. Cover and cook on LOW for 15 to 30 minutes, until the noodles are tender.
Happy Cooking Time.
