Glazed Lemon Brownies are quick and easy to make plus they taste delicious. Topped with a lemon glaze, these brownies are a lemon lovers dream come true!
Ingredients
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 Tablespoon fresh lemon zest
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup butter softened
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 Tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
LEMON GLAZE
- 2 teaspoons lemon zest
- 1 1/2 Tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
First, preheat the oven to 350 ° F. Grease an 8 x 8 inch baking dish with a non-stick spray. (Or you can line with aluminum foil or parchment paper for easy removal).
Then, in a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar and salt. (I used a whisk to stir it. It sifts the flour at the same time).
Add the softened butter to the flour mixture, stir with a spatula until homogeneous.
In a small bowl, whisk together the eggs, lemon juice and lemon zest. Pour the mixture into the flour mixture. Stir with a spatula until smooth and combined. (Some pieces may remain).
Pour the dough into the prepared dish and spread evenly. Cook 25 minutes.
Remove from oven and let cool completely before icing.
FOR LEMON ICE CREAM
Whisk together the frosting ingredients until smooth. Pour and spread evenly over cooled brownies. Let glaze before cutting into 9 bars. Happy Cooking Time.
