POLISH APPLE PANCAKES









The dough of these leavened pancakes must be raised in a warm place with no draft for 1 to 1 1/2 hours before preparing your pancakes.

Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup 250 ml milk
  • 1 tsp vegetable oil
  • Powdered sugar
  • 1 cup 120 grams all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 5 apples peeled and thinly sliced or shredded

Instructions

First, in a bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.

Then, in another bowl, lightly beat the egg, then add the milk and oil. Add to dry ingredients and stir until smooth. Fold the apples.

Pour the dough per 1/2 cup onto a lightly greased hot pan and spread to form a 5-inch circle. Rotate when bubbles form. Cook the second side until golden and the apples are tender. Sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired. Happy Cooking Time.
