Malteser Slice
Our famous
slice of malteser has an incredible taste! A base of chocolate rice bubbles
topped with sweet, creamy white chocolate and decorated with additional
Maltesers.
Ingredients
- 180 g of butter
- 4 tablespoons of golden syrup
- 220 g of milk chocolate
- 250 g of plain biscuits - Marie or similar.
- 220 g of white chocolate
- 310 g of Maltesers - I use a Family size pack
Instructions
First, line
the base and sides of a 20 cm square cake pan with parchment paper, be sure to
leave plenty of paper hanging on the sides to help you remove it later.
Then, crush
the cookies until they look like fine breadcrumbs, you can use either a food
processor at the end of a rolling pin!
Place the
butter, chocolate and golden syrup in a microwave-safe bowl and cook for 30
seconds until all the ingredients are melted. Mix well.
Set aside
about 20 Maltesers to decorate.
Pour the
melted ingredients into a bowl with the cookie crumbs and add the rest of the
Maltesers. Stir with a large metal spoon to combine.
Pour the
mixture into your prepared pan and press with the back of a spoon to flatten
the surface.
Break the
white chocolate into squares and place it in a microwave-safe bowl. Cook for 30
seconds until almost melted and stir until completely melted.
Pour the
melted white chocolate on the slice and decorate with the reserved
Maltesers.
Place the
slice in the refrigerator for 4 hours + to set.
Once the
slice has been taken, cut it into squares.
