Easy Snickerdoodle Cookies
The best snickerdoodle cookies are slightly tart with crumpled tops and coated with cinnamon sugar. The cookies bake with soft interiors.
Ingredients
- 2 large eggs
- 3/4 teaspoons salt
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 3/4 cup sugar divided
- 1 cup unsalted butter softened
- 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
First, preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
Then, in a stand mixer, whisk the butter and 1 1/2 cups sugar at high speed for 3 to 5 minutes until it is light and fluffy.
Add eggs and whisk until well combined.
Add the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt and leave to reduce until everything is well combined.
In a small bowl, add the last 1/4 cup of sugar and cinnamon and stir until smooth.
Pour a tablespoon of cookie dough into the cinnamon and sugar and roll it up.
Cook 2 inches apart for 6-8 minutes, until the edges just begin to brown. Happy Cooking Time.
