Banana Bread Blondies






If you like banana bread AND blondes, you should try these easy banana bread blondes. This simple bowl dessert recipe makes the best fluffy and fluffy banana blondies, with brown sugar and cinnamon. And, with a sweet brown butter frosting, they are extra delicious!

Ingredients

Blondies
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1½ cups light brown sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup mashed banana (2 medium bananas)

Brown Sugar Frosting
  • 2 Tablespoons milk
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • ¼ cup butter
  • ½ cup light brown sugar

Instructions

First, preheat the oven to 350 ° F. Line a 9 x 13-inch baking dish with aluminum foil and spray with cooking spray. Put aside

Then, in a bowl of the stand mixer, combine the melted butter and sugar. 
Mix until homogeneous. Add the eggs and vanilla and continue mixing until incorporated. Stir in salt, flour and banana until the dough is smooth. 
Distribute evenly in the prepared pan.

Bake 25 to 30 minutes until center is set. Let cool before icing.

Browned butter frosting: In a medium saucepan, melt the butter. Add brown sugar and milk and stir until boiling. Remove from heat, let cool 5 minutes.

Whisk in the powdered sugar.

Spread on blondies. Let the frosting set before cutting into squares.
