SLOW COOKER SPAGHETTI SAUCE

SLOW COOKER SPAGHETTI SAUCE

Healthy spaghetti sauce is so easy to prepare from scratch and quick to prepare in the slow cooker. With ground chicken, fresh vegetables, and a low-carb tomato sauce, it's keto-friendly and delicious!

INGREDIENTS:
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, minced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 pound Italian sausage, casings removed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 2 (15-ounce) cans tomato sauce
  • 3 (14.5-ounce) cans diced tomatoes, drained

DIRECTIONS:

First, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef, sausage, onion and garlic. Cook until golden brown, about 4 to 5 minutes, making sure to crumble the beef and sausages while cooking; drain off excess fat.

Then, place the ground beef mixture in a slow cooker. Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, bay leaves, oregano, basil, salt and pepper, to taste.
Cover and cook over low heat for 8 hours.

Mix well and serve immediately.

Happy Cooking time.
