EASY BANANA CAKE





EASY BANANA CAKE







Easy, tasty and absolutely delicious, this easy banana cake is topped with a fluffy chocolate frosting, making it the perfect flavor combination.

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 125 g / 4.4 oz Unsalted Butter
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup Milk
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 2 Large Ripe Bananas (see note 1)
  • 1.5 cups Self Raising Flour (see note 2 if in America)
  • 1 extra Banana, sliced (for topping)
  • 1 tbsp Cinnamon Sugar (see note 3)

INSTRUCTIONS

First, preheat the oven to 160C / 320F and grease a round cake pan.

Then, melt the butter and sugar in a small saucepan over low heat, stirring regularly. Remove from heat and add the vanilla extract. Put aside.

Crush the bananas in a large mixing bowl, then add the egg and mix well. 
Add the melted butter and mix well.

Add the flour and milk to the mixing bowl and fold to combine, being careful not to mix too much.

Pour the cake mix into the greased cake pan. Arrange the banana slices is a decorative motif on top and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.

Bake for 40 minutes or until golden and a skewer comes out clean. Leave to cool in the mold for 10 minutes, then switch to a wire rack to cool completely. Happy Cooking Time.
