Christmas Crack Recipe

Christmas cracker to your Holiday Cooking List! Only 6 ingredients needed to
make the most addictive holiday treat to date! It's the perfect combo of sweet,
salty and crunchy!
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- cooking spray
- 40 saltine crackers
- 1/2 cup holiday sprinkles or 1/2 cup sliced almonds
- 2 sticks of butter (1 cup)
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips I recommend Guittard or Ghirardelli. Nestle (Toll House) chocolate chips do not work in this recipe.
INSTRUCTIONS
First, line
a baking sheet with aluminum foil and coat with cooking spray or use a
non-stick silicone baking mat.
Then, preheat
the oven to 400 degrees.
Place the
crackers in a single layer on the baking sheet.
Place the
butter and brown sugar in a medium saucepan, bring to a boil.
Boil for 3
minutes.
Pour the
brown sugar mixture over the crackers and spread with a spatula to coat.
Place the
baking sheet in the oven and bake for 3 to 5 minutes or until it boils.
Remove the
pan from the oven and immediately disperse the chocolate chips on top. Return
the pan to the oven for 2-3 minutes to melt the chocolate. Spread the chocolate
evenly on top.
Place the
sprinkles on the chocolate. Let the caramel sit until it has completely cooled,
either at room temperature or in the refrigerator.
Cut into
pieces and serve. Happy Cooking Time.
