TANDOORI CHICKEN
The classic
tandoori chicken is an Indian recipe marinated in yogurt, garam masala and
cayenne before cooking easier, a perfect meal for the week.
INGREDIENTS
- Oil, for basting
- 1 lb chicken legs
- 1 lime, cut into wedges
Marinade:
- 1 tablespoons oil
- 1/2 teaspoon Garam Masala
- 1 teaspoon ginger, finely minced
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
- Red coloring, (optional)
- 1 teaspoon garlic, finely minced
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt or to taste, (optional)
DIRECTIONS
First, Clean
and dry the chicken with paper towels.
Then, Mix
all the ingredients of the marinade in a bowl. Mix well. Add the chicken to the
marinade and marinate at least 2 hours or at best 4 hours.
Preheat the
oven to 400 ° F. Line the baking sheet with foil and place a rack. Place the
chicken on the rack. Bake for 20 minutes, then return the chicken and cook
another 20 minutes. Using a small brush, brush both surfaces of the chicken
with the oil several times during cooking. Grill the chicken for 1 minute or
until the skin is slightly charred. Remove from oven and serve immediately with
