Creamy Chicken Pasta with Bacon







These creamy chicken and bacon pasta are perfect for any day where nothing else makes creamy pasta. It is indolent, it contains all the essential food groups - cream, parmesan, chicken and BACON. Very little preparation, on the table in 20 minutes!

Ingredients

Main Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • salt and pepper
  • 4 small tomatoes (diced)
  • 2 cups spinach
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1.5 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese shredded (more for garnish)
  • 6 bacon strips
  • 1 pound boneless and skinless chicken (thick in size, such as chicken breasts)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (more, if desired)

Pasta:
  • 2 tablespoons Parsley (chopped)
  • 10 oz. penne pasta

Instructions

First, Add the bacon strips to the pan and cook until crisp. Transfer the cooked bacon to a dish lined with paper towels that will absorb more fat. Cut into 1 inch pieces

Then, Wipe the chicken with a paper towel and season with salt, pepper and garlic powder. So put aside.

Heat the olive oil in a large deep skillet. Add chicken breasts and cook on each side over medium-high heat for about 4 minutes (for a total of 8 minutes) until golden brown. If the chicken is still pink in the center, reduce the heat to medium and cook covered for several minutes until it is no longer pink in the center. Remove the chicken from the pan and slice.

Add the butter to the hot skillet and once it has melted, add the chopped garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Add the tomatoes and cook for 3 minutes over high heat until the tomatoes release their juice. Add fresh spinach and cook until dull.
Season with paprika, Italian seasoning, crushed red pepper flakes and salt. Mix.

Then add the heavy cream and bring the mixture to a boil. Simmer and slowly add the Parmesan - until the cheese is melted and makes the sauce creamy.

Meanwhile, boil a large pot of water, add the pasta and cook according to the instructions. Drain the pasta without rinsing.

Add sliced ​​chicken, bacon and pasta. Then add chopped parsley. Stir until sauce is completely coated. Season with more salt if necessary.

Serve with grated parmesan cheese and flakes of red pepper, if desired. Happy Cooking Time.
