Butterscotch Blondies
Each bite is
sweet, mellow and full of delicious toffee flavor. Pecans add a little crisis.
Ingredients
- 1/4 teaspoon coarse salt
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup butterscotch chips
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 large egg , room temperature
- 1/2 cup butter , melted
- 1 cup all-purpose flour , spooned and leveled
Instructions
First, Preheat
the oven to 350F.
Then, Line
an aluminum foil with an 8 x 8-inch dish and spray with a nonstick coating.
In a medium
bowl, mix the melted butter and brown sugar.
Make sure
the mixture is not hot, then stir in the egg and vanilla.
Stir in the
flour and salt, then the butterscotch chips.
Pour the
dough into your covered pan and bake for 20 to 25 minutes until the top is well
placed and the edges begin to peel off the sides of the pan.
Let cool in
pan until mixture is well set - at least 1 hour.
Then remove from
the pan and slice. I have 9 generous squares, or you could make 16 more
reasonable sized blondies.
Happy
Cooking Time.
