CRISPY CHEDDAR CHICKEN
A crispy
chicken with a velvety chicken cheese sauce that will make your mouth water,
this dish is a real winner.
Ingredients
Chicken
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp dried parsley
- 3 cups grated cheddar cheese
- 2 sleeves Ritz crackers
- 4 large boneless skinless chicken breasts cut in half
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- fresh parsley for garnish
Sauce
- 2 tbsp milk
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1/8 cup sour cream
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
Instructions
First, Preheat
the oven to 375.
Then, Place
crushed crackers in a shallow dish with salt and pepper. Also place the sour
cream in a separate dish and cheese in another dish.
Start by
dipping each breast into sour cream by wrapping all sides, then place in a
cheese dish coated with grated cheese. Then place each breast in the cracker
mixture until they are well coated.
Place in a
greased 9x13. Cover and bake for 50 to 55 minutes.
Remove the
aluminum foil and cook another 10 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
At the end
of cooking the chicken, place the sauce ingredients in a small saucepan and
cook on medium-high heat. Mix well and serve chicken with fresh parsley. Happy
