Tuscan Sausage and White Bean Soup
A bowl of this amazing Tuscan-style white bean sausage soup makes a great evening meal. The cannellini beans give its wonderful texture. To enjoy its true Italian flavor, sprinkle it with olive oil and serve it hot.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 12 oz. can evaporate milk
- 1 14.5 ounces. can chicken broth
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 15.5 ounces. undrained cannellini seeds
- 2 finely chopped garlic cloves
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 pound cooked and dried ground beef sausage
- Salt and pepper
Instructions
First, in a skillet, cook the sausage. Drain and set aside.
Then, melt the butter in a medium saucepan.
Add the onion and garlic; cook, 1 to 2 minutes, stirring occasionally or until the onion is tender.
Stir in the flour.
Slowly add the evaporated milk and chicken broth, stirring constantly.
Once the mixture comes to a boil, add the sausage and beans.
Heat and season with salt and pepper.
