Cheesy Meatball Skillet
A simple and
quick meal that will be ready in 30 minutes or less. Enjoy these meatballs with
pasta, in a baguette or as you wish! The cheese meatball pan is the perfect
easy recipe for a delicious dinner that everyone will love!
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 jar (24 oz.) marinara sauce
- 1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped
Meatballs:
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 cup Italian bread crumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan
- 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
INSTRUCTIONS
First, combine
all the ingredients for the meatballs in a large mixing bowl and mix well with
your hands
Then, take
about 1 mixture of meatballs the size of a golf ball, roll it in your hands to
make meatballs. I used an ice cream scoop
Over
medium-high heat, brown the meatballs in batches until evenly browned, about 5
to 8 minutes
Remove the
meatballs and drain on paper towels. Drain excess oil from pan
Reduce the
heat to medium-low and pour the marinara sauce into the pan
Return the
meatballs to the pan and roll them to coat with marinara sauce.
Simmer for 5
minutes or until the internal temperature of the meatballs is 165 degrees F
Garnish with
mozzarella cheese. Cover and simmer until cheese melts or grill at 450 degrees
F for 3-5 minutes for golden cheese
Hot dish and
serve sprinkled with chopped fresh basil
