Instant Pot Chicken Parm Pasta

Instant Pot Chicken Parm Pasta

All the delicious parmesan chicken flavors, combined in an easy pasta dish in 30 minutes! Fewer dishes, but a meal with maximum flavor!

Ingredients
  • 3 cups jar pasta sauce
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1 cup water
  • 1.5 lbs boneless skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite size pieces.
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 oz penne noodles
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

First, add water to your instant pot liner.

Then, add the chicken, onion and garlic.

Add the noodles to the chicken.

Add the sauce to the noodles. You want to do this so that the sauce is away from the bottom surface to avoid scalding.

DO NOT MIX, but you want all the noodles to be coated with sauce. Gently push the noodles down so that there are no dry noodles sticking out.

Attach the cover and adjust to the seal.

Set the instant pot for 4 minutes.

When the time has elapsed, relieve the pressure carefully and quickly.

Remove the cover. It will look soup until you mix it and it cools down a bit.

Add the parmesan and stir.

Add the mozzarella and put the lid back on for 2-3 minutes to melt the cheese. Or, you can just stir it properly. Your choice.

Add salt and pepper to your preferences.

Serve immediately or in portions in meal preparation containers and store in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.

Happy Cooking Time.
